Main interests in continental philosophy (especially Nietzsche and Kant), ethics, metaphysics and criticism of metaphysics. Also interested in aesthetics. President of the German Nietzsche Society (Nietzsche-Gesellschaft e.V.). Recent publications include: Nietzsche (Reclam Leipzig, 2006); (Ed.) Kant und Nietzsche im Widerstreit (de Gruyter, 2005); Kants Begriff des Glücks (de Gruyter, 2003); articles on Kant, Nietzsche, Heidegger.
