Interdisciplinary Study
Graduate students at Illinois may engage in interdisciplinary study while working towards their degrees in philosophy. They may pursue dual degree programs in the Colleges of Medicine (M.D./Ph.D. program) and Law (earning the J.D. as well as the Ph.D.). Other interdisciplinary interests may be pursued in a variety of other campus units and programs with which the department is affiliated:
- Criticism and Interpretive Theory
- Science, Technology, and Society
- History, Philosophy, and Sociology of Science
- Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Religious Studies
- Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security
